Sioux Falls has grown and the way people get around has changed. We're ready to reimagine the entire SAM system, but we need your feedback to be sure it's a success.

How can residents get involved?
In-person: Residents can attend the in-person “drop-in session” on Monday, May 6 at any time between 2:30 and 8:00 p.m. at Rooms A & B of the Downtown Library (200 N. Dakota Ave.) to learn about the proposed changes, ask questions, and provide live feedback Refreshments will be provided.
Virtually: Alternatively, residents can visit sam-reimagined to learn about the proposed changes and share online feedback until Wednesday, May 8 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time.

What does the “SAM Reimagined” plan entail?

  • Expanded availability and frequency of public transit for more residents in Sioux Falls (for example, some bus lines running every 30 minutes all day and more weekend service).

  • Improvements to bus routes to more direct trips, easier transfers, and shorter wait times.

  • Expanded Via SAM On Demand service to the entire city, with a focus on areas that are not within walking distance from bus stops.
